The electrodes provide the spark that ignites the gas when the ignitor button is pressed or the knob is turned. The ignition wire is connected to the igniter by pressing the igniter.

If the igniter doesn't light, the metal electrode that creates the spark with the tube may be too close to the tubes. Try gently bending the metal pin slightly higher to create more space, which should resolve the issue. This may take some time to adjust, but it should get the igniter working properly.
